Magna Seating is seeking a Materials Supervisor to oversee daily operations, coordinate inbound/outbound material flow in a JIT facility, and manage manpower requirements. The role emphasizes process improvement, safety, and adherence to standard work practices to maintain efficiency and quality.
Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in materials supervision (or 5+ years in materials leadership in auto manufacturing), plus excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Bachelor's degree preferred. Powered Industrial Truck Permit (requires a passing score on the Powered Industrial Truck training tests administered by Magna Seating Detroit)
Minimum of two (2) years of materials supervisory experience or a minimum of five (5) years of materials team leadership experience in a tier‑one automotive manufacturing facility.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Team oriented, communicates well with others, and able to interact with people at all levels and departments. Excellent problem‑solving and leadership skills. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various manufacturing/business information software. Detail oriented and excellent documentation skills. Working knowledge of safety standards and OSHA guidelines.
Work performed in an office and/or manufacturing plant environment. Normal mobility to move around an office and/or manufacturing environment required. Must be able to perform work on a computer. Continuously walks and stands. Frequently performs fine finger movements, grips/grasps, push/pulls, bends/stoops, and lifts and carries material/parts up to thirty (30) lbs. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
