Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an SPS Engineering Intern in Billings, MT to gain hands-on experience within our Power sector. You will work under supervision on real projects, applying engineering techniques and collaborating with mentors.

Preferred candidates have progress toward an electrical engineering degree, a GPA of 3.0+, and strong attention to detail and communication skills. This is a full-time, temporary internship reporting to our System Protection and Planning team.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Clear communication skills and teamwork mindset.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills required.
• Preferred: 2 years completed toward electrical engineering degree with 3.0+ GPA.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience on exciting projects.
• Perform assignments under supervision of a professional or Project Manager.
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Collaborate with mentors and peers in the SPS team.

In the Role of SPS (System Protection and Studies) Engineering Intern, we'll count on you to:

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer 2 years completed toward a electrical engineering degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
• Local candidate preferred
• Must be able to report to Billings, MT or Helena, MT
