Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician to service, repair and inspect sprinkler systems across commercial, industrial and residential settings. You will handle systems such as wet back flow, dry, pre-action, deluge and fire pumps.

The role requires reading blueprints and submittals, following troubleshooting procedures, completing service requests with proper coding and obtaining customer signatures, and participating in a scheduled on-call rotation.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of documents experience in Fire Sprinkler/Pipefitter industry.
  • TQP License OR enough hours to obtain.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours which may include weekends to meet customer requirements.
  • Occasional paid overnight travel
  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and prioritize safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Possess a valid driver\'s license and clean driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
  • NICET Level II desired and encouraged but not required.

Pay Range:

$32.00 - 43.00 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
