Job summary

Fire Safety and Protection (FSP) is seeking a skilled Sprinkler Fitter to install, maintain, and repair automatic sprinkler systems across the U.S. and Canada.

The role emphasizes customer focus, teamwork, and meticulous workmanship to keep building safety systems functional. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of independent field experience in fire protection, mechanical aptitude, and a strong commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years independent field experience.
• Experience with Fire Protection Systems and components.
• Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to obtain progressive certifications within NFPA and industry licensing.
• Ability to document work clearly and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications for sprinkler system layout and installation.
• Measure and cut pipes; install using fittings and connectors.
• Install valves, alarms, and other sprinkler components.
• Test systems for leaks and ensure proper operation.
• Perform routine maintenance and replace worn components.
• Troubleshoot and repair sprinkler systems; propose solutions.
• Communicate with customers and stakeholders on project status.
• Ensure compliance with codes and regulations; maintain safety protocols.
