Job summary

Fire Fighter Sales and Service Co. is seeking a Sprinkler Design Manager to lead the design team, coordinate with Sales and Management, and ensure timely field install drawings and fabrication lists.

The role requires a college degree in Fire Protection Design or 7+ years of design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, and knowledge of hydraulic calculations; HydraCAD/Autosprink experience is a plus, with NICET Level 2+ certification preferred.

Qualifications

• College graduate with degree in Fire Protection Design or 7+ years of design experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and sprinkler design.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic piping calculations.
• HydraCAD and/or Autosprink experience is a plus.
• NICET certification – Level 2 minimum; Level 3 or 4 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design team.
• Manage schedules and assign projects for the design team.
• Coordinate with the Sales & Management team as to when design needs to be completed.
• Assist with the design and layout of sprinkler systems as needed when needed.

Job Summary: The Sprinkler Design Manager will oversee the sprinkler designers and plan the design workload with the Sales Team and the Project Management Team to make sure that the design department is on time with preparing field install drawings and fabrication lists. This person will also need to assist the design team with answering questions they may have regarding codes and design strategies. This person will also help the design effort by preparing fire sprinkler drawings and calculations, producing accurate and effective construction plans for approval. Upon completion of drawings and receipt of all required approvals, prepare an accurate stock listing of all materials required for the project and requisition same.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following list is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this classification.
