Job summary

Fire Fighter Sales and Service Co. seeks a Sprinkler Design Manager to lead the design team, coordinating with Sales and PM to keep drawings and fabrication lists on schedule. You will prepare fire sprinkler drawings, calculations, and construction plans for approvals.

Ideal candidates have a Fire Protection Design degree (or equivalent), NICET Level 2+, and strong AutoCAD/HydraCAD skills, with NFPA knowledge and team-oriented drive.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent in Fire Protection Design.
• NICET certification – Level 2 minimum in sprinkler design; Level 3/4 preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and sprinkler system design.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic piping calculations.
• Experience with HydraCAD and Autosprink is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design team and set workload for sprinkler design.
• Manage schedules and assign projects to the design team.
• Coordinate with Sales and Management to ensure timely design completion.
• Assist with design and layout of sprinkler systems as needed.

Job Summary: The Sprinkler Design Manager will oversee the sprinkler designers and plan the design workload with the Sales Team and the Project Management Team to make sure that the design department is on time with preparing field install drawings and fabrication lists. This person will also need to assist the design team with answering questions they may have regarding codes and design strategies. This person will also help the design effort by preparing fire sprinkler drawings and calculations, producing accurate and effective construction plans for approval. Upon completion of drawings and receipt of all required approvals, prepare an accurate stock listing of all materials required for the project and requisition same.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following list is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this classification.
