What You Will Bring To This Role

The SpringHill Suites Virginia Beach Oceanfront has an open position for a Seasonal Bartender. The responsibility of the bartender is to provide guests with prompt and accurate service and deliver unmatched service in every interaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of different types of alcohol and mix them to create a variety of drinks, be familiar with PMS, and manage orders and inventory. The candidate should be flexible and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, organized, and track multiple orders and customers simultaneously.

Some of Your Responsibilities Would Be

• Efficiently and accurately take and deliver orders while interacting with guests and possessing excellent interpersonal service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor, managing multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Learn menu items and be able to describe them appropriately to guests at the bar.
• Possess knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits; familiarity with domestic and imported beers, different types of wine, and brand‑name spirits.
• Maintain assigned areas by keeping them clean and free of debris, and track guests while they move around the pool area.
• Work with other servers and bartenders, and be a team player.
• Demonstrate superior guest service skills by presenting a friendly, relaxed, and professional demeanor; manage multiple tasks with attention to detail while meeting business demands.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 21 years of age and proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
• Effective communication skills in a positive, upbeat manner with a focus on guests’ needs.
• Ability to check transactions accurately and efficiently; basic math skills required.
• Ability to withstand prolonged standing.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
