Springfield Public Schools is seeking educators for the Springfield Success Academy Evening Diploma Program to guide adults completing high school.The positions require 4pm–8pm sessions, two days per week, Aug 31, 2026 to May 20, 2027, at 37 Alderman St, with potential travel to partner sites.
Pay ranges from $35 to $50 per hour (student-facing and prep). Must be SPS-licensed and comfortable working with at-risk learners in a district committed to equity.

Educator (up to 15 positions including: ELA, Math, Science, SPED, ELL, History, Art, Edgenuity)
LOCATION: 37 Alderman St, Springfield MA 01108 (some alternate sites working with community partners)
REPORTS TO: Rhonda Jacobs, Director
SALARY: $50/hr student-facing time
$35/hr prep ( non student-facing time)
FUNDING SOURCE: DESE Grant ( Adult Basic Ed)
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Thursday August 31, 2026- May 20, 2027
4pm - 8pm (each educator will work 2 days, with a possibility of rotating sessions dependent on enrollment) Educators will be notified 2 weeks prior to the start of each session if their continued services are needed based on program needs.
Staff working at community partner sites will work 2 days/ week 2 hours per day
Each session will run for 7 weeks. Classes will be 7 weeks with an additional week of up to 4 hours for closing out the current session and prep for the upcoming session.
DUTIES:Educators will instruct adult students who are returning to high school with the intention of earning their high school diploma.
