Job summary

Conductix-Wampfler is seeking electrical-mechanical assemblers to join our manufacturing team. Qualified candidates are self-directed, quality minded, and able to solve problems in a team environment.

Primary duties include mechanical and electrical assembly, wiring per specifications, and identifying/rectifying issues with production orders. The role involves routine use of measurement devices and adherence to 5S and EHS policies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2–5 years electrical or mechanical assembly experience.
  • Experience reading blueprints considered a plus.
  • Ability to read and use measurement devices.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical and mechanical components per specs to produce quality spring reel products.
  • Perform electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
  • Operate required tools to aid in assembly.
  • Connect color-coded wires and test/adjust assemblies.
  • Discuss drawing or production-order issues with supervisor/engineer to resolve problems.
  • Support and uphold the company quality system and safety policies.

Conductix-Wampfler, a growing industrial products manufacturer, is looking for electrical-mechanical assemblers to join their team. Qualified candidates will be self-directed and quality minded. Qualified individuals will possess the following skills:

  • Have 2-5 years of experience with electrical or mechanical assembly experience
  • Have experience operating cut-off saws, drill presses
  • Ability to read blueprints a plus
  • Must be able to use measurement devices

Assembles electrical and mechanical components according to the information provided to produce a quality spring reel product by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Mechanical assembly of various size structural and electrical components.

Electrical installations according to wiring specifications.

Operate necessary tools, as listed on the job description, to aid in the assembly of cable reels.

Connects color-coded wires.

Tests and adjusts electrical assemblies.

Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with a supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems.

Manufacturing consultant to engineering and sales department concerning design problems.

Field service and start-up duty opportunities.

Responsible for checking the accuracy of engineering, sales, and manufacturing offices' input to ensure customer final product is correct and within quality acceptance guidelines.

Any changes or corrections must be communicated to appropriate departments so future product output is consistent with customer expectations.

Through actions and decision-making, proactively supports, promotes, and improves the quality system and policy throughout the organization.

Understands, supports, implements, and sustains 5S program initiatives.

Supports and upholds the quality and EHS policy.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write and/or verbally communicate correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Employee must be willing and able to successfully pass our in-house forklift & overhead crane certification program prior to operating these machines within our facility. Operating these machines is an essential function of this role. This certification program will assess proficiency in safe operation according to our company’s standards and protocols. Training will be provided.
