Job summary

Withum's Outsourced Accounting Systems and Services (OASyS) team is seeking a junior accounting professional in New Jersey to support clients with daily bookkeeping, payroll and close processes.

You will collaborate with senior staff, manage billings, reconciliations, cash receipts and setup new accounting systems while developing skills in QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Expensify, Xero and Excel. A structured internship or entry-level role emphasizes attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting.
• GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Strong interpersonal and computer skills.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Expensify, Gusto, Justworks, Xero and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills.
• Ability to work well on a team.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Flexible and adaptable to learning new software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with Senior Associates, Managers and group Partners to support client needs.
• Managing bill payments, invoicing and cash receipt applications.
• Performing bank and general ledger account reconciliations; resolving reconciling items.
• Assisting with monthly, quarterly and annual close processes.
• Running payroll and reconciling related journal entries.
• Assisting with setup and implementation of new accounting systems and procedures.
• Assisting with ad hoc accounting and reporting projects, client-facing and internal.
• Communicating effectively with clients and coworkers across channels.
