Job summary

Austin Sunshine Camps is seeking a Spring Break Camp Counselor to live on-site and foster a supportive cabin community while leading activities and supporting campers’ growth.

You will mentor campers, help run daily outdoor adventures, and ensure safety and well-being under ACA standards. This role offers on-site lodging and meals, with paid training and opportunities for college internship credit.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
• High energy, adaptability, and resilience for camp life.
• Ability to pass a national background check.
• Preferred: 1+ years in youth development, summer camps, or outdoor leadership.

Responsibilities

• Camper mentorship and well-being: build relationships, support emotional regulation, foster inclusive environment.
• Lead and assist with daily outdoor adventures, team challenges, cabin downtime activities, and night events.
• Maintain active supervision, conduct headcounts, and uphold ACA safety standards.
