Job summary

Texas A&M International University seeks to establish a pool of qualified applicants for future, part-time Adjunct Faculty appointments in Curriculum and Instruction. Appointments may teach up to six semester credit hours per term, with office hours and student support provided as needed.

Positions are temporary, for Spring 2027 and sub-terms, with initial review starting Oct 20, 2026. Required: Master’s degree in Education or related fields and three years of EC-12 teaching experience.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The College of Education seeks to establish a pool of qualified applicants for future, part-time Adjunct Faculty appointments in Curriculum and Instruction on campus. Successful applicants may teach up to six (6) semester credit hours within the required discipline (Language & Literature for the Young Child, Science Principles for EC-Grade 6 and Social Studies Principles for EC-Grade 6) as dictated by student demand, hold office hours, and assist students as needed.

• These temporary appointments are for the Spring 2027 semester and/or any applicable Spring 2027 Sub-terms. Initial review of applications will begin on October 20, 2026.

Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Education or related fields.
• Three years of EC-12 teaching.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous teaching experience at the collegiate level.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with the general public.
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work under stress and with pressing timelines.

• The above job duties may not be performed in every Adjunct Faculty position and might not include all related duties that may be performed.
• Adjunct Faculty positions are temporary appointments, assigned per semester and on an as-needed basis.
