The Undergraduate Graphic Design Intern in the Communications Department at the ACLU's National Office in New York, NY, is a part-time, remote role. The intern will support branding, digital assets, and graphics for websites, multimedia, and social channels.

Qualifying applicants must be an enrolled undergraduate student and based in the U.S. for the full duration, with a stipend of $20/hr for 15 hours/week over 12 weeks beginning January 11th or January 25th, 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be an enrolled undergraduate student based in the U.S. for the duration of the internship.
• Experience with digital and print design on Mac (PC allowed).
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Video editing skills (Premiere/After Effects) welcomed.

• Produce social media promotional design, memes and online ads.

The ACLU seeksan UndergraduateGraphic Design** Intern in the Communications Department **of the ACLU's National office in** New York,NY**. This internship is part-time and remote.

Qualifying applicants must currently be matriculated undergraduate students or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience and must be based in the U.S. for the entire duration of the internship.

The Team:

TheComms Teamis responsible for promoting the ACLU's mission, its brand and its programs through multi-faceted campaigns, digital communications, publications anddigital platforms.

What You'll Do:

TheGraphic Designinternwillbe responsiblefora variety of branding and key issue projects including supporting the organization's digital asset management, the production of printed materials for a variety of purposes as well as graphics for the ACLU web site(s), multimedia and social media channels.

• Website and multimedia graphics and design collateral
• Social media promotional design; memes
• Online advertising design support; buttons, banners
• Print project support
• Creative process coordination as directed by Digital Design lead

What You'll Bring:

• Digital design and/or print experience on Mac (PC okay)
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
• Premiere, After Effects or video editing skills welcome
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.

Internship Logistics:

• Location: Our internship program offers a limited number of remote or hybrid intern positions. This internship is part-time and remote from our New York City office.
• Time Commitment: Part-time (15 hours/week)
• Internship Duration: Part-time internships span 12 consecutive weeks. This internship has a start date of: January 11th or January 25th, 2027
• Stipend: A stipend is available for students who are lawfully authorized to work. Arrangements can be made with educational institutions for work/study or course credit.
