Job summary

Colorado School of Mines is seeking Adjunct faculty for Spring 2027. Courses are taught with a coordinated setting, using a common calendar and learning objectives. Adjuncts participate in group grading, manage Canvas communications, and provide timely feedback to students.

Rates per credit hour range from $1,000 to $8,000 depending on assignment and experience. Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in a related field and college-level teaching experience.

• Master’s degree in related field (Bachelor's may be accepted within specific disciplines).
• Prior college-level teaching experience.
• Ability to work in a team and co-teach.
• Familiarity with Canvas LMS.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes per course syllabus and schedule to meet the required contact hours.
• Hold weekly office hours and participate in grading.
• Develop or improve course materials and assessments.

All the listed courses are taught in a coordinated setting which includes use of the common homework and exams, as well as a common course calendar and learning objectives.
