Summary Job Description

This position is responsible for shadowing an experienced sprayer during a six month trainee program.

Essential Duties

• Ability to learn to spray even coats of finish, stain, paint, or lacquer on assembled cases.
• Visually inspect for runs of material.
• Learn to fill and adjust equipment as needed.
• Learn to read formulas and color panels.
• Loads the line by pulling material from Whitewood Storage area to conveyor and loading in assigned order.
• Occasionally attaching tall cases and bed frames to pallets.
• Observes plant safety rules while also keeping work area clean and is quality conscious in performing duties.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications / Position Requirements

On completion of six month program, this position should be able to meet the following requirements:

• Read and understand finishing schedule.
• Have the ability to set up finishing equipment 'pumps'.
• Have the ability to spray fillers, glazes, and wash coat all at a quality level.

• Must be able to walk, stand, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull and bend over the course of 8 hours.

• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, up to 100 pounds with assistance.
