Job summary

Santa Rita Landscaping seeks full-time experienced Spray Technicians to add to our dedicated team in Tucson, AZ. You will apply pesticides to treat weeds, pests, and disease using backpack, granular, and high-volume spray methods, while following safety guidelines and company policies.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Arizona for pesticide applications (OPM Category 4 and 3).

If you would like to become a certified applicator, training and certification is available for motivated applicants.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Treat weed, insect, disease and nutritional deficiencies by the application of appropriate products
• Perform pest control applications following specific Company established guidelines
• Perform a variety of application types including backpack, granular, and high volume spray applications
• Communicate effectively with Field Supervisors, Account Managers, and fellow employees
• Strictly adhere to all safety procedures and laws/regulations governing pesticide applications
• Document all work performed via application records and daily work logs
• Properly maintain your truck and equipment and report any problems with the equipment in a timely manner

Employment Requirements

• Licensed in OPM Category 4 (Right of Ways) and 3 (Turf and Ornamental).
• Ability to work independently, consistently, and efficiently with limited supervision
• Flexible enough to work varying hours to meet the needs of the company, which can include long days
• Ability to frequently lift, pull and push 75 lbs.
• Attention to detail, ability to problem solve, and a strong work ethic to do the job right the first time
• Ability to work and walk for long durations in Arizona weather
• Reliable and punctual
• Valid Arizona driver’s license and a clean driving history
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Previous Sustainable Landscape Management experience is a bonus
