Qualifications

• Two years' experience in golf course maintenance.
• At least one year of pesticide application experience.
• Proficient in calibrating sprayers and spreaders.
• Must obtain Georgia Pesticide Applicator’s License within six months of hire.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Calibrates the spraying equipment.
• Applies and stores pesticides per regulations.
• Maintains knowledge of pesticides, safety precautions.
• Keeps neat records of all pesticide applications.
• Maintains spraying equipment and clean mixing areas.
• Assists with morning golf course setup and irrigation monitoring.
• Maintains irrigation system and repairs as needed.
• Scouts course for pests and diseases and proposes actions after discussion with supervisors.
• Assist wilt watch for bentgrass greens.
• Assist with mowing and turf maintenance on the golf course.
• Act as lead crew member on special projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
