Alpha Insulation & Waterproofing is seeking a skilled Fireproofer to join our Tempe team. You will apply and inspect fireproofing materials on structural steel and other surfaces, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has proven experience, can read blueprints, adheres to safety rules, and works independently or with a crew. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fireproofer or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of fireproofing materials, methods, and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical condition and stamina to perform manual labor.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Certification in fireproofing or a related field is a plus.

Physical Demands:

While working, the employee will use their hands and arms, stand, walk, and may need to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. They may also occasionally sit, climb, or balance. The job involves lifting and moving objects up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and occasionally moving objects over 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
