TreeHouse Foods in Wayland, Michigan, is seeking a Process Engineer, Spray Drying, to provide technical process engineering support for spray drying, partnering with Operations, Engineering, EH&S, Maintenance, and FSQ to optimize performance and throughput.

You’ll drive process improvements, troubleshoot challenges, and lead root-cause investigations to enhance safety, quality, reliability and cost efficiency. This on-site role offers growth within a major private-label foods producer.

Qualifications

• Provide technical process engineering support for spray drying operations.
• Lead root cause investigations related to process variation and quality.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the technical subject matter expert for spray drying operations.
• Partners with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, EH&S, and FSQ to troubleshoot process issues and implement sustainable actions.
• Develops, validates, and standardizes process parameters, SOPs and best practices.
• Leads structured problem-solving efforts using data-driven methodologies.
• Drives improvements in process capability, throughput, yield, energy efficiency and OEE.
• Supports capital projects, equipment modifications, process trials and start-up activities.
• Ensures compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Supports product commercialization, plant trials and scale-up activities.
• Coaches operations teams on processes and standard work.
• Travels to secondary site as required to support operations and projects.
