Job summary

dsm-firmenich in New Ulm, MN, is seeking a Spray Drying Operations Technician to prepare equipment, perform wash-downs, and manage powder packaging while ensuring QC checks and safety standards. The role involves handling sanitation chemicals, operating forklifts, and maintaining HACCP compliance in a high-speed production environment.

You will sanitize and reassemble equipment, support site-wide washing, and move pallets while upholding quality and safety as core priorities in a dynamic flavor

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 years in packing/compounding with ability to follow formulas.
• Knowledge of GMPs and HACCP.
• Forklift experience; able to stand/walk for long shifts.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and handling manual material moves.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble processing equipment during wash-ups and changeovers.
• Clean production rooms; titrate and handle sanitation chemicals.
• Support washing activities across all areas during designated wash times.
• Accurately package powders into bags/super sacks; label and stage finished goods.
• Execute QC verifications, HACCP checks, and sampling per procedure.
• Move finished pallets using a pallet jack; operate forklifts as needed.
• Uphold site Quality and Safety standards at all times.
