Job summary

Journey Clinical is seeking an NP/PA to conduct psychiatric intake evaluations and provide on-site monitoring for Spravato sessions at partner offices. The role is part-time (1099) with travel to partner sites within an agreed radius.

Ideal candidates have psychiatry experience; REMS processes and outpatient monitoring are involved. DEA registration and ability to associate with partner site address(es) are required.

Qualifications

• Active NP or PA license in the state of practice.
• Current, unrestricted DEA registration.
• Willingness to register/associate DEA address with partner site(es).
• Outpatient psychiatry or medication management experience preferred (Spravato REMS familiarity).

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric intake evaluations and screening to determine Spravato eligibility.
• Prescribe Spravato and initiate documentation for insurance prior authorization.
• Provide on-site clinical support during Spravato dosing sessions (patients self-administer nasal spray).
• Monitor patients during the observation period (vitals, safety checks, symptom monitoring).
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Coordinate with Journey Clinical operations and partner sites to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Support a calm, safe environment for small cohorts (typically 3–4 patients per session block).

Journey Clinical is hiring an NP/PA to conduct psychiatric intake evaluations and provide in-person monitoring for Spravato® (esketamine nasal spray) sessions hosted at partner therapist offices. This is a great opportunity for a clinician who enjoys structured outpatient care, values patient experience, and wants to expand access to evidence-based treatment for depression.

Spravato sessions are delivered in small cohorts (3–4 patients) and require 2+ hours of on-site monitoring in accordance with FDA REMS requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct psychiatric intake evaluations and screening to determine Spravato eligibility

Required Qualifications

• Active NP or PA license in the state of practice
• Current, unrestricted DEA registration
• Willingness to register/associate your DEA registration to partner site address(es) as needed for Spravato® operations
• Comfort with outpatient monitoring and responding to clinical changes (e.g., blood pressure changes, anxiety, dissociation)
• Strong documentation skills and reliability with protocols
• Willingness to complete required program training (Spravato® REMS-related processes)
• Ideal candidates will have psychiatry experience; ketamine/esketamine, TMS, infusion, or other monitoring workflows
