Job Description
  • Follow all health, safely, and environmental requirements
  • Perform cleanup duties
  • Perform material handling and storage duties
  • Identify, use, and care of common hand and power tools
  • Use and care of craft specific tools and equipment
  • Knowledge and application of craft related mathematics
  • Knowledge and use of safety standards and best safety practices relevant to rigging, Inspection of rigging equipment and hardware
  • Knowledge and application of common hitches, Emergency stop signal, Basic crane hand signals, Knot tying (bowline & clove hitch), and use of rigging equipment relevant to craft specific tasks
  • Review construction drawings and blueprints for specifications to determine work requirements
  • Identify and select insulation material
  • Identify hazards of insulation materials
  • Apply insulation tapes
  • Apply cement and mastic coatings
  • Install wire reinforcement
  • Install metal flashing
  • Apply cloth coverings
  • Mix insulation cement
  • Staggering block and pipe insulation
  • Install molded or preformed insulation to pipe vessel
  • Cut miters for specifc fittings
  • Layout and install jacket covering
  • Fabricate, fit, and apply removable insulation
