Job summary

GSK is seeking a Lead Data Steward for SPQS to drive data stewardship, governance and quality across Description, Control and future SPQS domains. You will collaborate with R&D, Global Supply Chain, Regulatory and Quality to embed metadata standards, reference data structures and robust data controls across global processes.

In this hybrid role, you will partner with Domain Owners and technology teams to enable governed data products, train stakeholders and support audits and inspections.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's level degree in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Data Management, Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in data stewardship, data governance and master data management.

Position Summary

ICH M16 Structured Product Quality Submissions (SPQS) will fundamentally change how product quality information is created, governed and exchanged. The SPQS Lead Data Steward will lead implementation of the stewardship, ownership and data quality capabilities required to support future structured regulatory submissions. Working across Description, Control and future SPQS domains, the role will translate Domain Owner decisions into practical standards, stewardship processes, metadata requirements, controlled vocabularies and data quality controls. The role will work across R&D, Global Supply Chain, Regulatory and Quality organisations to establish sustainable data management practices that support SPQS deployment, digital transformation initiatives and long-term operational readiness.

Lead implementation of the SPQS data stewardship framework across Description, Control and future SPQS domains.

Coordinate federated ownership of critical CMC data assets across R&D, GSC, Regulatory and Quality.

Establish and maintain metadata standards, controlled vocabularies, business definitions and reference data structures supporting SPQS.

Drive data quality management processes, issue resolution and continuous improvement activities.

Support delivery of governed Description and Control data products and future structured submission capabilities.

Partner with Domain Owners, Technology teams and external delivery partners to embed stewardship and governance requirements into business processes and digital solutions.

Build awareness, adoption and data literacy through training, guidance and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

Act as the lead steward for SPQS data, standards and ownership practices.

Coordinate stewardship activities across multiple business functions and data domains.

Translate Domain Owner decisions into operational standards, controls and stewardship processes.

Lead cross-system vocabulary alignment and harmonisation activities supporting SPQS.

Define and monitor data quality controls, metrics and remediation activities.

Support implementation of governance frameworks, ownership models and stewardship operating procedures.

Ensure consistency and traceability across the Description to Control data lifecycle.

Provide oversight of supplier-delivered data management, data quality and stewardship deliverables.

Support audits, inspections and compliance activities relating to SPQS data assets.

Basic Qualification

We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:

Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Data Management, Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience in data stewardship, data governance, master data management or related disciplines.

Experience developing data standards, business rules, controlled vocabularies or metadata frameworks.

Experience working across multiple business functions and stakeholder groups.

Strong communication, facilitation and influencing skills.

Experience operating within regulated environments.

Preferred Qualification
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

Experience in pharmaceutical CMC, manufacturing, quality, regulatory or supply chain data management.

Experience supporting IDMP, structured data, SPQS or related regulatory data initiatives.

Experience implementing data ownership and stewardship frameworks.

Experience with SAP PLM, enterprise data platforms or master data management solutions.

Experience implementing data quality management processes and controls.

Participation in industry standards or data governance initiatives.

Working Model

This role is hybrid. You will work from a UK office regularly and may work remotely part of the week. Attendance for team and stakeholder sessions is expected.

Belgium Salary Range / Fourchette salariale – Belgique: EUR 83,250 to EUR 138,750The annual gross base salary range for new hires in this position is listed above for each applicable location.
