Job summary

Maker's Pride is hiring for a PM Weekend Crew role. Responsibilities include inspecting spots, operating semi-trucks, managing trailer seals, yard maintenance, and ensuring compliance with GMP and safety standards.

The position requires a Class A CDL, ability to lift over 100 lbs, and capacity to work in hot/cold environments. Friday–Sunday shifts with $1 shift differential and a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

• Experience or ability to operate RF systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily spotter inspection report prior to entering the truck.
• Ability to drive semi-trucks.
• Check and record all fluid levels and note additions.
• Inspect for damages to trailers and inform supervisor.
• Check fuel levels and temperatures on refrigerated trailers.
• Ensure deliveries are sealed/locked on trailer; reject unsealed trailers.
• Inspect inbound empty trailers before acceptance.
• Sweep trailers and empty into dumpster.
• Maintain neat and orderly yard.
• Line up trailers with pads and back in with minimal gaps.
• Place a wheel chock when dock lock is unavailable.
• Enter moves into yard view and note outages.
• Follow GMPs and company safety policies.
• Meet attendance standards as scheduled.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

PM Weekend Crew:

6:00PM to 6:00AM – with $1.00 shift differential

• Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Complete daily spotter inspection report prior to entering the truck.
• Ability to drive semi-trucks.
• Check and record all fluid levels and if any fluids are needed, the amount added should be noted as well. Complete daily yard check at the beginning of every shift
• Inspect for any damages to the trailers and if damages found, bring to supervisor's attention immediately.
• Check all fuel levels and temperatures on refrigerated trailers daily.
• Ensure all deliveries are sealed or are locked on the trailer and reject any trailers with no lock or seal.
• Inspect all inbound empty trailers prior to accepting them.
• Sweep out all trailers and ensure it is emptied into the dumpster.
• Keep the yard (both empty and loaded) in a neat and orderly manner.
• Ensure trailers are lined up with the pads and backed in with minimal to no gaps.
• Be sure to place a chock under the wheel when a dock lock is not available when a trailer is backed in.
• Enter all moves into yard view and if it is down, it must be noted on the spotter moves form.
• Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.P.'s) at all times.
• Complies with all safety, health and environmental regulations as prescribed by law and Company policies.
• Meets Company attendance standards of start and end times for work as scheduled.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with Company rules, regulations and policies.

Requirements

• Class A CDL (Basic) License
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical and mental ability to work in excess of 40 hours per week.Must have good eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity.
• Able to frequently lift and/or move more than 100 lbs.
• Ability to operate forklifts.
• Ability to work in variable (hot and cold) temperatures.

Working Relationships

• Maintain harmonious working relationships with employee and management in all departments.

Experience And Skills

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Experience in using R.F. (Radio Frequency) System
• Basic Math and Reading skills
