Job summary

Training HAUS is seeking a Sports Skills Coach in Shakopee to lead group sessions focused on sport-specific skills, delivering proven programming during evenings. This PT role (0.3 FTE) runs Monday–Thursday from 5:00 PM–9:00 PM or 9:30 PM at our Training HAUS facility.

You’ll coordinate with coaches and therapists and uphold a safe, motivating environment while building client rapport and following established curricula.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in coaching, exercise physiology, or kinesiology.
• Collegiate-level athletic experience preferred.
• CSCS, PES, or SCCC certifications preferred but not required.
• CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead and engage groups of athletes with sport-specific skills and drills.
• Develop rapport with high-level clients engaged in sport-specific drills.
• Provide instruction within the curriculum scope and proper drill progression.
• Communicate with sport coaches and coworkers professionally.
• Collaborate with therapy managers, physical therapists and sports performance coaches.
• Maintain a safe environment for staff and participants.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Sports Skills Coach will be responsible to lead and engage groups of athletes engaged in sport specific skills and drills through various advanced and proven programming in season and throughout the year, marketed by Training HAUS and other sport specific partners, to be executed within TCO/Training HAUS facilities.

PT role, .3 FTE, working Monday - Thursday nights, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM or 9:30 PM out of our Shakopee Training HAUS location.

Training HAUS/Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Job Functions:

• Maintain routine schedule of skills and drills as advertised and promoted through Training HAUS
• Develop and maintain rapport with high level clients engaging in sport specific skills/drills
• Provide instruction of sport specific skills and drills within the scope of practice defined by skills curriculum and proper drill progression.
• Communicate with sport coaches and coworkers in a professional manner
• Collaborate with therapy managers, physical therapists and sports performance coaches across the organization as needed
• Maintain safe environment for self, staff and patients
• Communicate with supervisor regarding any safety or incident report issues occurring during fitness classes or personal training sessions.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher degree required in one of the following areas
  • Coaching
  • Exercise Physiology
  • Kinesiology
• Experience playing sport at a collegiate level preferred
• CSCS, PES, and SCCC preferred but not required
• CPR/BLS Certification or ability to get certification

• Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience.

The pay range displayed reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated for employees working less than a full-time schedule.

Working Conditions:

• Frequentlylift up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and move continuously throughout the shift.
• Must be able to frequently perform physical activities such as pushing, pulling, and reaching.
• Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents.
• Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly.
• Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer).
