Job summary

Exos is seeking a Sports Performance Coach to work on-site with athletes and high-performing individuals, applying Exos cutting‑edge methods to training and education. You will evaluate clients, tailor plans, and lead speed, strength, and recovery sessions to optimize performance.

Ideal candidates bring a kinesiology degree (Master's preferred), CSCS/NASM, CPR/AED, and experience coaching groups, with strong communication and customer service skills to motivate clients and drive results.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, sports science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Two years of personal training or strength coaching experience or Exos internship.
  • Current industry certification (CSCS/NASM preferred).
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
  • Ability to create individualized exercise plans and lead group classes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site evaluations using proprietary assessment protocols to gauge health and readiness.
  • Update and adapt training plans to keep clients on track for progress.
  • Maintain ongoing communication, motivation, and feedback with clients.
  • Conduct speed and agility, strength and power, and recovery sessions.
  • Lead group fitness classes emphasizing technique improvement.
  • Partner with employers for engagement activities and wellness events.
  • Deliver educational programs showcasing Exos methodology.
  • Report attendance, engagement, and outreach metrics for program impact.
  • Participate in planning and development of programs and staff training.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct on-site evaluations using our proprietary assessment protocols to understand client health, performance, and readiness for training.
  • Update and adapt training plans for clients to ensure they’re on track for success, fine‑tuning based on progress and performance.
  • Maintain constant communication with clients, providing guidance, motivation, and feedback to ensure they’re meeting their performance goals.
  • Conducting speed and agility training.
  • Leading strength and power training.
  • Leading recovery and regeneration sessions.
  • Conducting evaluations and assessments.
  • Partner with employers to lead various engagement activities, such as “lunch & learns,” campus activities, and wellness fairs, driving excitement and awareness.
  • Represent Exos by delivering educational programs that showcase our proven methodology and cutting‑edge practices.
  • Report on key metrics like attendance, client engagement, and outreach to track program impact and help drive continuous improvement.
  • Actively participate in planning, designing, and developing programs to enhance our offerings and support research in sports science.
  • Contribute to staff education and training, delivering insights and instruction in line with Exos methodology.
  • Maintain Exos standards by adhering to established policies, continually upgrading professional credentials, and attending required continuing education.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Sports Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum two years of personal training or strength coaching experience, or completion of Exos Performance Specialist Internship.
  • Current industry certification; NSCA‑CSCS or NASM preferred.
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
  • Proven ability to create effective, individualized exercise plans.
  • Experience leading group fitness classes with emphasis on technique improvement.
  • Strong presentation skills for both small and large group settings.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, prioritizing client success and support.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience coaching strength & conditioning, speed & agility, or power development with football players - collegiate level or above.
  • Experience with technology such as BridgeAthletic, Hawkin Dynamics, Keiser Strength, and Google Sheets.
