Job summary

The Sports & Social Club Louisville is seeking a friendly Server to greet guests, take orders, and deliver food and drinks with professionalism. You will work with bartenders and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction in a lively, sports-focused venue.

Responsibilities include upselling, checking IDs, handling payments, and coordinating with management to resolve issues. Training covers the venue’s concept products and menu items, safety, and exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of serving in a fast-paced food and beverage venue, preferably nightclub environment.
• Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments preferred.
• Must speak fluent English; other languages preferred.
• Must be courteous, pleasant, and good-natured.
• Communication skills used frequently when interacting with guests, bartenders, wait staff, cooks and supervisors.
• Alcohol awareness certification or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.
• Reading and writing abilities used when taking orders and completing paperwork.
• Basic math skills used when handling cash and credit.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take beverage and food orders promptly and professionally.
• Serve cocktails and/or menu items; upsell when taking orders.
• Maintain energetic, outgoing, and professional demeanor at all times.
• Provide outstanding service with a smile to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Communicate clearly with guests and staff; operate the POS system effectively.
• Guide guests through menu items and concept products to enhance the experience.
• Check IDs to meet minimum age requirements for alcohol.
• Monitor alcohol service and notify management of incidents when needed.
• Complete all side work and accurately account for sales and payments.
• Coordinate with bartenders and kitchen for food and beverages; assist as needed.
