Job summary

DanceBUG Inc. is seeking Videographers to travel across the United States and shoot live dance competitions with provided professional gear. No editing required; you will handle capturing performances and operating livestream systems, with training provided.

Responsibilities include traveling to events, set-up of cameras, monitoring feeds, and coordinating with the media team. Expect weekend travel, and flights/hotels paid by DanceBUG.

Qualifications

• Experience in live events and broadcast environments is a plus.
• Comfortable working with cameras, technology and fast-paced live production environments.
• Familiarity with live streaming workflows and OBS is advantageous.

Sports & Live Event Videographer

Paid Travel Across the U.S. | Professional Equipment Provided | No Editing Required

Turn your video production experience into a season of travel and live events.

DanceBUG is hiring Videographers for our February–June dance competition season. If you’ve filmed sports, concerts, weddings, theatre or other live events, we’ll provide the equipment and teach you everything you need to know about capturing dance.

You shoot. We provide the gear, travel and training — and we handle post-production.

What You Get

What You’ll Do

• Travel to dance competitions across the U.S.
• Capture live performances using professional video equipment

• Work alongside other DanceBUG media team members

We’ll Train You

No dance experience required.

Every new Videographer receives virtual training in January followed by at least two live training events alongside experienced team members before working independently.

If you know cameras and live production, we’ll teach you dance and the DanceBUG workflow.

You don’t need experience in every area. We’re looking for people who are comfortable with cameras, technology and fast-paced live production environments.

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the United States
• Live within approximately one hour of a major airport
• Valid U.S. driver’s license
• Available for regular weekend travel throughout the February–June season
• Comfortable driving approximately 5–6 hours when required
• Comfortable working long production days
• Able to lift approximately 50 lbs
• Able to successfully complete a criminal background check
