Job summary

YMCA of Upper Palmetto is seeking a youth sports coach to design and deliver sessions with clear, written programs. You will articulate a coaching curriculum and build strong relationships with parents, communicating child progress regularly.

You will drive participation by promoting upcoming seasons and ensuring daily equipment safety, while proactively coordinating with the Sports Director to address needs and challenges.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of NCAA Division 2, NAIA, or Junior College player/coach involvement.
• Certification-based qualifications listed in the Requirements section must be met.
• Experience related to youth sports coaching is valued.

Responsibilities

• Create written programs for each session.
• Articulate curriculum for teaching.
• Build relationships with parents and communicate progress.
• Encourage sign-ups for upcoming sport seasons in YMCA Youth Sports.
• Check equipment daily to ensure athlete safety.
• Communicate needs and potential challenges to Sports Director in advance.
