Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a friendly Cashier to create an exceptional shopping experience. You will greet customers, understand their needs, and handle sales transactions with accuracy and speed.

You will promote loyalty programs, warranties, and card enrollment, follow safety procedures, and help maintain an inclusive store environment. This role requires physical stamina to stand, lift, and move items as needed, and a teamwork mindset to support the whole store.

Qualifications

• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 35 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to work extended periods standing or walking (up to 4 hours).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and proactively assist to understand their needs and enhance their shopping experience.
• Process customer sales transactions and returns following Front-End procedures.
• Promote company programs (loyalty, warranties, card enrollment).
• Follow safety, loss prevention, and SOPs; maintain confidentiality of Company information.
• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and respected.
• Support the team across the store as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
