Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a customer-focused cashier to provide a positive shopping experience by greeting customers, handling transactions, and promoting loyalty programs. The role requires standing for long periods, occasional lifting, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks.

You will support store operations and help maintain an inclusive, safe environment for teammates and customers. Responsibilities include processing sales and returns, promoting warranties and private label

Qualifications

• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 15 to 35 lbs occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods (up to 2 hours).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and proactively assist to understand their needs.
• Process sales transactions and returns per Front-End procedures.
• Promote company programs (loyalty, warranties, credit card enrollment).
• Follow safety, loss prevention, and SOPs; maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Create an inclusive store environment where teammates and customers feel welcome and respected.
• Support the team across the store as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
