Job summary

The University of Denver invites applications for a Sport and Performance Psychologist/Staff Psychologist in the Health and Counseling Center. This embedded role serves intercollegiate student-athletes and partners with the athletic department on mental health screening and integrated care.

The successful candidate will supervise doctoral interns, oversee ADHD/LD evaluations, manage assessment platforms, provide outreach, and support DU Athletics with team performance sessions when requested.

Qualifications

• Licensed psychologist with cultural humility and understanding of oppression.
• Ability to collaborate with athletic departments and campus health services.

Responsibilities

• Perform mental health screening and pre-participation evaluations.
• Triage requests for Mental Health and Performance based treatment for student-athletes.
• Provide regular office hours, educational programming, and campus consultations.
• Supervise sport psychology doctoral interns and graduate trainees.
• Manage ADHD/LD evaluation processes and assessment platforms.
• Support DU Athletics through consultations and team performance sessions when requested.
