Job summary

Boot Barn in Irvine, CA is seeking a New Stores & Events Coordinator to drive sponsorship marketing for local store openings and relocations. This role partners with Store Operations, Marketing, Planning, Accounting, and external partners to evaluate opportunities, coordinate assets, manage event logistics, and ensure flawless execution of marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in marketing, events, sponsorships, retail marketing, project coordination, or related discipline.
  • Experience in retail, consumer brands, sports marketing, western lifestyle, or event marketing preferred.
  • Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate sponsorship requests from planning through execution.
  • Build and maintain relationships with store teams, vendors, and community partners.
  • Manage sponsorship assets, including print and digital advertising, email marketing, and other promotional materials.

The New Stores & Events Coordinator is responsible for coordinating Boot Barn's local sponsorship marketing strategy and supporting the successful execution of new store openings and relocations. This role partners cross-functionally with Store Operations, Marketing, Planning, Accounting, and external partners to evaluate sponsorship opportunities, coordinate marketing assets, manage event logistics, maintain vendor relationships, and plan new store grand openings. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about creating authentic community engagement while ensuring the flawless execution of marketing initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate sponsorship requests and coordinate approved sponsorships from planning through execution.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with store teams, rodeo committees, vendors, and community partners.
  • Manage sponsorship assets, including print and digital advertising, email marketing, and other promotional materials.
  • Communicate Boot Barn's sponsorship involvement and event details to stores and internal business partners.
  • Plan, coordinate, and communicate grand opening activities for new stores and relocations.
  • Partner with Marketing, Accounting, Buying, Planning, and other internal teams to ensure the timely execution of sponsorships and grand openings.
  • Track sponsorship invoices and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Manage the sponsorship email inbox and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Prepare post-event recaps, including attendance, sales results, and feedback from stores.
  • Support community engagement efforts that strengthen Boot Barn's presence and authenticity in the markets we serve.
  • Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearance.
  • Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management.
  • Adhere to all local, federal and state laws in addition to Company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Performs any other duties that may be assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Strong communication, customer service, time management and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field required.
  • 2–4 years of experience in marketing, events, sponsorships, retail marketing, project coordination, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in retail, consumer brands, sports marketing, western lifestyle, or event marketing preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Comfortable representing the company at industry events.

PAY RANGE: $21.00 - $25.00/hr*

*compensation varies based on geography, skills, experience, and tenure
