Georgia Tech in Atlanta is seeking a Contract Officer for Sponsored Programs to manage negotiations, execution, and administration of research contracts and grants.

The role ensures compliance with institutional policies and federal regulations while guiding faculty and researchers through the contracting process.

A U.S. citizen or eligible person with 4+ years of relevant experience is required; remote options may be available.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent, 4+ years of relevant experience.
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person required.
• Experience with contract law including the UCC and Bayh-Dole Act.
• Experience negotiating commercial contracts.
• Experience in nonprofit, higher education, research, or foundation environment.
• Familiarity with 2 CFR Part 200 and related requirements.

• Review and analyze research proposals for compliance with institutional standards and sponsor requirements.
• Negotiate contract terms to protect the institution while enabling research.
• Draft, edit, and finalize research contracts and agreements.
• Provide guidance to faculty and researchers throughout contracting processes.
• Monitor contract compliance throughout the life of the grant or contract.
• Maintain accurate contract records for audits and reviews.
• Conduct trainings on contract management and sponsored program policies.
• Stay informed on changes in federal regulations and sponsor policies.
• Collaborate with legal and finance teams to resolve contract issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
