Job summary

American Business Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced SIEM Engineer to design, configure, and optimize the enterprise SIEM environment.

You will onboard data sources, develop detection content, and integrate with security tools and cloud platforms to strengthen threat detection and incident response capabilities. You will collaborate with SOC, infrastructure, cloud, networking, and application teams while following security standards and change-management processes to ensure reliable

Qualifications

• 3+ years supporting SIEM, security engineering, or security monitoring.
• Hands-on Splunk Enterprise and/or Splunk Enterprise Security administration.
• Onboarding/integrating security log sources via syslog, APIs, agents, or cloud.
• Familiarity with NIST and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks.
• Experience in large enterprise or government environments.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, configure, maintain, and optimize the enterprise SIEM platform (Splunk).
• Onboard data sources; ensure logs are collected, parsed, indexed, and retained.
• Develop correlation searches, alerts, dashboards, and detection rules.
• Integrate SIEM with security tools, cloud platforms, apps, and infra.
• Monitor performance, capacity, availability, and health; troubleshoot issues.
• Tune alerts/detection logic to reduce false positives and improve monitoring.
• Support SOC analysts with queries, dashboards, and investigations.
• Assist with upgrades, patches, and configuration changes in SIEM infra.
• Document procedures, configurations, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Collaborate with SOC, infra, cloud, networking, and apps teams on SIEM initiatives.
• Adhere to Commonwealth security standards and change-management policies.
