Job summary

Beyond SOF in Reston, VA seeks an experienced Enterprise Senior Information Technology Advisor to join the DoDIIS effort. You'll design near real-time Splunk dashboards, integrate data streams, and deliver visualizations for executive situational awareness.

You will mentor government and military personnel, conduct analytics, and contribute to system architecture, aiming to enhance DoDIIS interoperability and IC IT Enterprise objectives. Clearances desired: TS/SCI with CI Poly.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to pass CI poly.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Directorate for Mission Services (MS), Chief Information Officer (CIO) established the Enterprise Senior Information Technology Advisors Program to support the Department of Defense Intelligence Information System (DoDIIS) Enterprise’s mission, CIO’s strategic mission, and the Intelligence Community Information Technology Enterprise (IC ITE) strategy and implementation.

The Department of Defense (DOD) Intelligence Information System (DoDIIS) is a standard for intelligence systems and applications interoperability within the DoDIIS Enterprise. DoDIIS provides an integrated strategic system-of-systems environment to the DoDIIS customer performing intelligence functions consistent with IC ITE Architecture. Historically, DoDIIS systems have been developed individually by the Services, Agencies, and Organizations and independently funded through the General Defense Intelligence Program (GDIP).

The CIO‘s Strategic Vision is to facilitate and enhance information sharing across DoDIIS Enterprise, Achieve World-class IT Security and Collaboration across multiple networks, develop the CIO workforce, and to operate effectively and efficiently. Additionally, CIO’s focus is to strengthen their commitment to their customers through partnerships and collaboration, delivering consistent and reliable IT services helping the customer to achieve their program mission objectives. This contract will play a critical role in helping CIO achieve that ultimate goal, resulting in greater trust across DIA and DoDIIS.

Responsibilities:

• Must provide data visualizations in support of the Enterprise Watch command and control team. Requires expertise in creating Splunk dashboards.
• Must integrate multiple data streams and feeds from networks, infrastructure services, mission/business applications into a near, real-time dashboard (heads up display) for use in troubleshooting and the presentation of situational awareness briefings to executive staff.
• Must have the ability to develop new and utilize pre-built dashboards/add-ons within the system as well as be able to create custom dashboards and search queries to meet the Enterprise Watch’s needs.
• Must be able to provide recommendations/action plans for incorporating new data streams in order to present additional visualizations.
• Will perform technical knowledge transfer to government and military personnel to enable them to create independent dashboards and data ingestion streams within the system.
• Must have knowledge in Splunk software requirements analysis, system integration activities, leads research, designs, develops and tests software and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancing existing applications, systems or embedded products.
• Must have knowledge and understanding in Splunk architecture, technical planning, user experience and complex solutions.
• Perform Splunk advance searching and reporting and must have knowledge with Splunk (SPL) Search Performing Language or basic knowledge of SQL.
