Job summary

3Core Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Splunk/Data Management Engineer to design, implement, and optimize Splunk infrastructure to support scalable, robust data solutions.

The role emphasizes SRE practices, incident response, and cross-functional leadership across multiple domains. The ideal candidate will leverage expertise in Splunk Enterprise/Cloud, Cribl, and automation tools, while guiding teammates in a hybrid environment with regular onsite collaboration in Owings Mills, MD and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of total relevant work experience.
  • Expert knowledge of infrastructure components including Cribl, Splunk Enterprise or Splunk Cloud.
  • Expert knowledge of Agile/SCRUM utilizing JIRA/Confluence or equivalent.
  • Expert knowledge of core infrastructure capabilities: AWS, Linux OS, networking, identity, and access.
  • Expert knowledge in automation technologies including Ansible/AWX.

Responsibilities

  • Technical leader within Log Data Management and Engineering specializing in Splunk Enterprise Platform administration, onboarding and tuning.
  • Defines standards for use and management of infrastructure components.
  • Guides decisions about infrastructure upgrades, refreshes, and replacement.
  • Leads or supports incident response and troubleshooting across multiple domains.
  • Participates in continuous improvement efforts spanning multiple multi-functional domains.
  • Mentors other team members and provides coaching to leadership.

Role Summary

In this role, you will analyze, design, build and implementSplunk infrastructure solutions for technology needs ensuring that theinfrastructure (network, hardware, software, data center, facilities, tools,and related equipment) is sufficiently robust, scalable, and efficient toenable delivery and ongoing operation of the solutions within an SREorganization. You will research problems, conduct installations, and evaluatenew technologies.
