Job summary

Qmulos, located in Arlington, Virginia, is seeking a motivated cybersecurity technologist to join our Professional Services team. This role involves providing implementation, development, and deployment of Qmulos apps while primarily using Splunk as a security platform. You will also help design dashboards, keep abreast of cybersecurity trends, and support high-profile clients in government and Fortune 1000 sectors.

The ideal candidate will have experience in system administration and software development, knowledge of information security, and a desire to pursue industry certifications.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in Windows and Linux system administration.
• 1-3 years of experience with Splunk and analytic security tools.
• Deep knowledge of information security and/or networking.

Job Description

• Be part of a Professional Services team providing implementation, development, and deployment of custom, Splunk, and Qmulos Premium and Free Apps
• Use Splunk as the primary security platform for your work
• Propose innovative uses cases for security and compliance
• Design and implement dashboards and reports; create rapid prototypes
• Keep pulse on cybersecurity trends, issues, and ideas
• Find and propose emerging security solutions
• Advise and assist in development of enterprise cybersecurity apps
• Support high profile clients in government and Fortune 1000 sectors
• Typical engagements may range from 2 to 6 weeks
• Client engagements are primarily in the Washington DC area, but may require significant travel based on customer requirements

Qualifications

Experience

• BS degree in a technical field preferred (computer science, engineering)
• 2-5 years of windows and linux system administration
• 1-3 years of commercial software development experienced
• 1-3 years of experience with Splunk, SIEMs, and analytic security tools
• 1-3 years of experience of consulting (Splunk consulting, Management Consulting, IT Consulting)
• Deep knowledge of information security and/or networking
• Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure, e.g., devices, OS, enterprise applications
• Prefer some experience in network monitoring
• 1-3 years of programming experience, e.g., Python, shell scripting, query languages, object-oriented development
• Willingness to aggressively pursue Splunk and industry certifications
• Desire to interact with clients as a partnership to delivery superior client satisfaction
• Willingness to support pre-sales engagements, customer presentations, and other duties as required to support client acquisition and engagements

Other Qualifications

• SECRET/TOP SECRET/SCI preferred
