Job summary

The surgeon will manage a comprehensive spine practice focusing on elective, non-emergent pathology, using ambulatory infrastructure for same-day, minimally invasive surgeries while coordinating complex, multi-level reconstructions for hospital overnight care.

Qualifications

• DO or MD degree required.
• ACGME orthopedic residency required.
• Ability to obtain Indiana medical licensure.
• Current residents, fellows, and practicing candidates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient clinical management.
• Evaluate elective cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine disorders using comprehensive physical and neurological exams.
• Surgical stratification: route patients into the appropriate surgical pipeline based on comorbidity and surgical complexity.
• Conservative coordination.
• Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule.
• Main work locations include IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital and Ball's Outpatient Surgery Center in Muncie, Indiana.
