Job summary

Retrofitness Jersey City is seeking a Group Spin/Cycle Class Instructor to lead engaging group fitness sessions. Reporting to the General Manager, you will monitor safety and education while creating an enjoyable atmosphere for members.

You will teach scheduled classes with punctual warm-ups and cool-downs, prepare equipment and music, and promote healthful lifestyle goals. Flexible scheduling is available, and growth opportunities are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Current Group Fitness certification preferred.
• Ability to motivate members to participate in Group X Fitness classes.
• Strong desire to help members reach health and fitness goals.
• Completion of Retro University courses.
• Follow company policies & procedures.

Responsibilities

• Teach scheduled classes, beginning & ending on time.
• Provide adequate warm-up, class content, stretching & cool-down.
• Instruct participants on effective workout methods while demonstrating proper technique.
• Prepare appropriate equipment and music for each class.
• Maintain a positive experience for members and class participants.
• Assist management in promoting Retro Blends Smoothies, new products, & promotions.
• Continued maintenance/building of class participation & offerings.
• Working hours could vary and include mornings, evenings, and weekends.
