Job summary

The Youth Connection in Metro Detroit is hiring a SPF-PFS Community Organizer to lead youth-driven initiatives focused on leadership development, substance use prevention, and community change. This role offers hands-on mentoring and partnership-building with schools, parents, and local organizations.

You will coordinate youth leadership groups, organize campaigns, and support program evaluation and data tracking while working a full-time schedule in a community-based setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 1+ year experience in community work, youth programs, or organizing.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:
  • Build and support youth leadership groups in Metro Detroit.
  • Organize and mobilize youth and adults around community initiatives.

What You Bring:
Required:
