Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking a full-time Speech Therapy Assistant to support students and therapists in a dynamic school-based setting. The role involves facilitating virtual therapy sessions, guiding students, and reinforcing classroom policies in a positive environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, be self-motivated, patient, and able to connect with children and their parents.

Responsibilities

• Transport a student to a designated room for a virtual therapy session.
• Log onto the computer for the student before the session begins.
• Provide support for the virtual therapist during the session.
• Support and maintain classroom policies.
• Assist students by giving clear examples, emotional support, and a friendly attitude.
• Assist in monitoring students as directed.
• Confer with teachers regarding programs and materials to meet student needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Logging onto the computer for the student before the virtual session.
• Provide support for virtual therapist throughout the session.
• Support and maintain classroom policies.
• Assist students by providing proper examples, emotional support, a friendly attitude, and general guidance.
• Assist in monitoring students as directed.
• Confer, as needed, with teachers concerning programs and materials to meet student needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
