About the Role:

As a Speech Therapist, you’ll provide vital assessments and therapy services for children, helping them overcome developmental challenges and communicate more effectively. This role involves working closely with families, educators, and other providers to ensure children receive the support outlined in their Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) or Individual Education Plans (IEP).

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language evaluations for developmental and educational needs
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
• Track progress and maintain detailed records of sessions and assessments
• Participate in IFSP/IEP meetings, team discussions, and parent consultations
• Utilize and recommend AAC devices and alternative communication strategies
• Write and submit progress reports to regulatory agencies and parents
• Attend and contribute to team meetings and case conferences
• Provide supervision for graduate students and CFY candidates as assigned

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• NY State License in Speech-Language Pathology
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP)
• NYSED certification as TSHH or TSSLD
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly preferred
• Experience with AAC, PECS, and assistive technology preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload
