Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Speech Therapist to provide adult home health visits on a per diem daytime schedule across Texas, with a focus on delivering high-quality care in patients' homes.

You will assess and treat speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders, provide aural rehabilitation and AAC solutions, and collaborate with families to support home-based healing. This role emphasizes flexibility, patient-centred care, and professional growth within a leading home health organization.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the assigned state.
• CCC-SLP with graduate coursework and CF/ practicum from an CAA-accredited program.
• CPR certification current.

Responsibilities

• Prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provide aural rehabilitation and AAC systems for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Attractive Pay

• Minimum Hourly: $50.00
• Maximum Hourly: $60.00

Responsibilities

• Responsible for working to prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provides aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and provides augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology specific to that state you are assigned to work.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)* with completed graduate course work and a clinical practicum at a college or university whose program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred

• One (1+) year of experience in speech pathology.

*Note: If the SLP - CCC certification has not been obtained the candidate must be put into the SLP Clinical Fellow (100910) job. Clinical Fellowship (CFY) is the transition between student and independent which involves an SLP supervisor, hour requirements and mentoring.
