Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to perform objective assessments and develop individualized treatment programs for patients under departmental guidelines.

The role requires MO licensure or eligibility and ASHA certification within 1 year of hire, plus BLS. Preferred candidates have one year of experience and possess skills to care for patients of all ages.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology.
• Current or provisional Speech Language Pathologist license in applicable State of practice.
• ASHA certification within 1 year of hire; BLS certification required.
• Must be able to respond to emergency situations.
• One year of experience; experience caring for patients of all ages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs objective assessments as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for assigned patients according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral.
• Collaborates with care teams to implement individualized treatment plans.

Position Details

Education:

Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology.

Licensure:

Current or provisional Speech Language Pathologist license in applicable State of practice.

Certifications:

Certification from American Speech and Hearing Association within 1 year of hire, extension at discretion of leader and clinical fellowship supervisor. BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.

Other:

Must be able to respond to emergency situations.

Preferred Experience:

One year of experience. Experience in caring for patients of all ages preferred.
