Jefferson Health is seeking a Staff Level II Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate, treat, and discharge plan for patients across acute care, skilled facilities, and outpatient settings. The role emphasizes collaboration with healthcare teams and adherence to professional standards.

The SLP will provide comprehensive therapy, participate in education of students, and mentor new staff, while maintaining documentation and discharge planning responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• 2 years of clinical practice required.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• State License required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy evaluations, treatment planning, treatment interventions and discharge planning for a full patient caseload in acute care, skilled facility, acute rehab, outpatient settings as appropriate.
• Participate in student education for part-time (ICE, OT level I) or full-time students.
• Participate in orientation and preceptorship of new/rotating staff.
• Complete education, teaching and professional activities commensurate with position.
• Plan, organize and deliver treatment programs that help clients/patients recover and rehabilitate.
• Utilize tools and techniques to administer safe therapeutic interventions and trainings for patient and families.
• Record and document clients/patients' health progress information for evaluation, all therapeutic interventions including daily treatments, progress notes, evaluations and discharge summaries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Details

The Staff Level II Speech and Language Pathologist is responsible for the evaluation, treatment and discharge planning of all patients referred for their given therapy services. The SLP is an integral healthcare provider accountable to assist the patient to progress to their highest level of function. The Staff Level II therapist will uphold the mission, vision, and values of Jefferson Health. Works in conjunction with other health care professions to coordinate treatment plans and care.
