Job summary

Lake Placid Health & Rehab in Florida is seeking a dedicated Speech Therapist to join our interdisciplinary healthcare team and help residents recover and regain independence after illnesses, injuries, or surgeries.

As part of our state-of-the-art facility, you will develop individualized therapy plans, collaborate with physicians and nurses, and educate residents and families on communication and swallowing strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field required.
• Florida licensure or ability to obtain license required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of computer software and electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized speech therapy plans to meet residents' needs, including assessing and evaluating communication and swallowing disorders.
• Conduct speech therapy sessions using a variety of techniques to improve communication, cognitive function, and swallowing abilities.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.
• Provide education and support to residents, families, and caregivers on speech therapy techniques and strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress, and treatment plans.
