Job summary

Novant Health's Matthews Medical Center is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist to join the Acute Rehab team. The role provides assessment, diagnosis and treatment of speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice and swallowing disorders across the lifespan.

You will work within an interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care and support patients and families, maintaining a high standard of clinical excellence in a busy rehab setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• ASHA certification (CFY or CCC) required.
• Experience in rehab settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech-language pathology services across the lifespan.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency disorders.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team to support patient goals.
• Contribute to delivering remarkable patient experiences in every dimension.

What You’ll Do

Our Speech Therapists work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency disorders across the lifespan. You will be responsible for providing skilled speech-language pathology services consistent with licensure as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team. What We’re Looking For

• Education: Graduate Degree, required. Graduate from accredited Speech Therapy program, required.
• Experience: Preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Appropriate state Speech Therapy license, required. Current ASHA certification (CFY or CCC), required.
