Job summary

Genesis HealthCare System in Ohio seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to plan and implement structured treatment for a variety of diagnoses. You will develop treatment plans, set patient-specific goals, and supervise SLP/CFYs and students while ensuring timely documentation and compliance with department policies.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, an Ohio SLP license or CC with CC-to-CC within 9 months, and a valid driver's license for HomeCare assignments.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited school of Speech Pathology.
• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or licensed Speech Therapist.
• Current Ohio Speech-Language Pathologist license and certificate of Clinical Competence OR conditional licensure with CC within 9 months of hire.
• Attention to detail.
• Minimum of one clinical rotation in a Rehabilitation Services setting (e.g., Acute Rehab, SNF, Acute Medical, Outpatient, Home Health).
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto liability insurance (HomeCare).

Responsibilities

Collects/interprets diagnostic data and its clinical relevance when making assessments, while considering current presentation and past medical/clinical history.2. Initiates patient care activities in reasonable/timely manner and strictly adheres to department guidelines regarding a patient’s treatment schedule.5.
