Screens and evaluates the communication and feeding/swallowing skills of preschoolers as per ASHA guidelines during:
Develops and implements therapy programs based on the child's individual needs, in accordance with school philosophy, utilizing state-of-the-art techniques.
Participates in all aspects of the interdisciplinary treatment team, including formal meetings, informal meetings, and consultations.
Maintains and submits clinical documentation such as evaluation and screening reports, daily logs, monthly or bi-monthly notes, and IEP documentation within required time frames.
Participates in departmental meetings, supervisory meetings, staff meetings, and team meetings as specified by the facility.
Acts as a child advocate as needed, representing internally and in outside meetings.
Evaluates the effectiveness of classroom programs, including language lessons and group communication programs.
Maintains effective interpersonal relationships with team members, staff, supervisors, parents, and outside agencies, demonstrating open communication, self-evaluation, flexibility, and willingness to offer and accept assistance.
